Event Format To Be A Microseminar on Microblogging + Networking Pub

Posted on: 5 February 2009 at 1205 - Comment

The event will be beyond office hours, with a short evening seminar where some aspects on microblogging will be presented, which will try to cover both the beginner’s basics and aimed to the more seasoned users for some interesting conversation starters - food for thought, food for talk :). Short, pitchy, energized presentations in 20 minutes each, to span the field of microblogging.

Since microbloggin has recently ‘gone mainstream’ in Sweden, we hope to get some curious ‘followers’ of the movement to upgrade their activity and feel the beauty and hidden values not covered as well :).

Beyond that, we will go to a nearby pub and continue the conversation and sharing some beers and snacks!

Only 40 spots - secure yours by following blog/microblog!
We want to start with the fact that the event is open only for max 40 persons, and elsewhere in the world tickets have been running out very swiftly, so be sure to either follow @EastSETwestival on Twitter or this blog to be the first to know when the tickets are released!

The seminars and networking pub will be covered virtually as well.

Facebook Event Created For East Sweden Twestival

A Facebook Event page has been created for our Norrköping/Linköping/East Sweden Twestival, and it would appear that my friends from other countries are interested in attending virtually.

It would be great to get that kind of support for this worthy cause.  Here’s the link:

Linkoping Twestival Blog Now Live!

Welcome to Twestival.  This is the first blogpost from Linkoping/East Sweden.

I have been in cooperation with the Norrkoping arranger of Twestival and have contacted some people at Linkoping University for assistance.  Seeing how the Twitter Base is rather small here, in comparison with other major cities in the world, we have decided to have one Twestival for both Linkoping and Norrkoping, due to the nearness of the event in time - only 8 days away.

This region is called Ostergotland or East Sweden. Since Linkoping’s University has a student base of over 12,000 students, with 5,000 of them on the Norrkoping Campus, it seems likely that social networking and the use of Twitter will increase drastically within the near future.  Quite possibily, there are many students and small business people on Twitter but who we are not aware of.  If you are reading this and are already on Twitter, please leave your Twitter name in a comment below.

Any inquiries and suggestions welcome to the coordinator @AngelWickenberg on Twitter and also a.wickenberg@telia.com.

You can also follow Linkoping/East Sweden Twestival and send DM’s after getting a follow-back.

Add this feed to your reader to follow the development.

Thanks!
